I had been writing poetry since middle school, but I used to believe that poetry was only for certain people. So I kept all of my poems in the desk drawer. Until in 2018, I flew to Ubud, Bali, to volunteer at an international literary festival and for the first time witnessing spoken word poetry on stage. It was absolutely enchanting, and such a healing experience, the magic of poetry made its special room in my heart. I went back to my hostel and wrote my first spoken-word piece.

Since then, I've been performing in various stages, have my poetry published in a book, and founded one of the only 4 spoken-word poetry communities in Indonesia.
